Originally a famous private college this restored 19th century building is rich in cultural and historical interest. Many of the original features have been retained including turrets and the impressive flagstones in the public areas.

There is an exhibition of old photos, schoolbooks and school uniforms. It is now a charming and well-managed hotel located in the centre of Ponta Delgada intriguing old town. The restaurant is renowned as being possibly the best in Ponta Delgada.

Prices are £ per person based on 2 adults sharing a standard room.

There are 55 twin, double or triple rooms all air-conditioned with bath and shower, mini-bar, safe and satellite TV. Standard Rooms are in the new wing and the 6 Superior Rooms are in the original Conservatorio wing.

Some rooms are interconnecting.
