A family-run and unpretentious boutique-style hotel on the beach in the village of Santa Maria. The restaurant is set on a promontory overlooking the waves below and the location and nautical décor of the hotel give the impression of being on a ship. There is a wide terrace by the ocean, which leads from a tavern-style bar. The beach bar is very popular during the day. There is a small pool with sunbeds in the garden and the rooms are mostly set back from the public areas in village-style clusters. Music is provided on most evenings in the restaurant and the bar, which can become quite lively. The hotel is renowned for its excellent cuisine. The local 4 star rating is equivalent to an international 3 star rating. Rooms & Views All 46 rooms are air-conditioned with twin or double beds and have a bath or shower, mini-bar, safe (local charge € 2 per day), satellite TV and a furnished balcony or terrace with hammock. Rooms vary in shape, size and position. Ocean view rooms are at a supplement. 20 large rooms (referred to by the hotel as ‘junior suites’) are more simply furnished and have a separate bedroom and a lounge with two single sofa beds, which can accommodate up to 2 extra adults or children. The lounge is air-conditioned and the bedroom has a fan. These rooms have a terrace but no ocean view and are at a supplement.
