Within 1.5 km. of Calvi town centre, the Hotel Cyrnea is unpretentious and comfortable.

It lies back from the coast road and there is privacy within the spacious grounds and the pastel-red walls, which surround the pool area. A simple Continental breakfast is usually served on the terrace by the swimming pool. Calvi’s magnificent beach is a short walk through a pretty pine forest.

36 modest double or twin rooms. Those at the front of the hotel overlook the swimming pool while rear-facing rooms enjoy a quieter, panoramic view of the hills that surround Calvi. Each room has a bath or shower and balcony.17 rooms at the front of the hotel are air-conditioned in July and August at a supplement.

Guests can prepay for dinner at the Hotel Saint Christophe, which is within a 20 minutes walk, for the nights of Monday, Wednesday and Friday at a cost of £49 per person. This should be arranged when you make your initial booking and will allow a credit of €23 per person per meal against the à la carte menu, excluding drinks. Any excess must be paid locally and no refunds will be given.
