The nearest villages of Visnjan and Lovrec are under 2 km away.  Each istrian villa is built in Istrian style using traditional stone and wood with open fireplaces, rustic furniture and state-of-the art appliances, which achieve a seamless blend of modern comfort with a timeless antique appeal.

The Istrian stone walls, warm textured colours and beamed ceilings create a roomy and relaxing ambience.  Each Croatia villa has its own individually designed garden with areas of lawn and colourful Mediterranean flora. Your private swimming pool is set in the middle of the garden with ample space for garden furniture, relaxing sunbeds and a grill and barbeque for outside dining on balmy summer evenings.

We recommend car hire as our istrian villa locations are rural and there is so much to see and do in this lovely part of Croatia. The azure-blue Adriatic sea and a sports centre are just 13km away, the vibrant seaside resorts of Porec and Rovinj approximately 15km away and the historic town of Pula, with its fabulous Roman amphitheatre, is just 50km or under one hour’s drive.  For those wishing to venture further, the Italian border is 2 hours away.

The Culture

The way of life in Istria is distinctive and interesting, both in the temperament and principles of the people. They have a very Mediterranean attitude to life and are seen as being laid-back and sharing the Italian passion of being very expressive and energetic in their conversations.
Religion is important to the local people and according to old Christian traditions, every town and village has its protector in the form of a Saint. In the summer the villagers hold festivals in the town squares, which celebrate their village and are dedicated to their Saint.
