Saturday Split (for guests arriving on Split flights)
Transfer to your hotel after arrival at Split airport. Dinner and overnight in Split.
Sunday Split - Dubrovnik (for guests on Split flights)
Morning departure to Dubrovnik driving along the Makarska Riviera. On arrival we tour the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We then visit the cathedral, the Franciscan monastery and Europe’s third oldest pharmacy. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Sunday Dubrovnik (for guests arriving on Dubrovnik flights)
Transfer from Dubrovnik airport to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Monday Dubrovnik - Mostar - Sarajevo
Morning departure to Mostar, the city of bridges, where travellers from the south first saw glimpses of the continent beyond.
After a Mostar city tour depart to Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia- Herzegovina. Sarajevo is where the western & eastern segments of the Roman Empire split where the peoples of the Orthodox east, the Ottoman south and the Roman Catholic west, met, lived and fought. It has been a place of great turbulence as well as a beacon of hope for peace and tolerance through multi-cultural integration. Tour the city of Sarajevo on arrival, then dinner and overnight in the city.
Tuesday Sarajevo - Osijek
Morning departure to Osijek, the largest city in eastern Croatia, located on the banks of the river Drava. Osijek remains a popular tourist destination with its Baroque style, open spaces and many
recreational opportunities. Livestock and agriculture are significant to the local economy. Osijek
has developed a reputation as being the country’s capital of fine wines and cuisine.
The city tour
includes a visit to the cathedral and the tvrdja, an old fort. Dinner and overnight in Osijek.
Wednesday Osijek - Zagreb
Morning departure to Djakovo. On the approach to Djakovo view the brilliance of the two brick towers and of the most stunning cathedral from Venice to Istanbul. After the tour of the cathedral we travel to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia and visit the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St Mark’s church with its multi-coloured roof, the cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and university. Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.
Thursday Zagreb - Plitvice - Zadar
Morning departure for Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We tour the 16 crystal-blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on wooden promenades to view majestic waters where every turn leads to a breathtaking scene and yet another waterfall. Surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice lakes are a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. Departure to Zadar. Dinner and overnight in Zadar.
Friday Zadar - Split
After breakfast, we tour Zadar and visit the Roman Forum from the 2nd century BC, the 9th century pre-Romanesque church of St. Donatus and St. Elias church. Departure to Split. On arrival, we visit the 1700 year old Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Split area.
Saturday Split (for guests departing on Split flights)
Transfer to Split airport for your return flight to the United Kingdom, or to the hotel of your choice.
Saturday Split – Dubrovnik (for guests on Dubrovnik flights)
Morning departure to Dubrovnik, driving along the Makarska Riviera. We tour the city of Dubrovnik, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then visit the cathedral and Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy. Dinner & overnight in Dubrovnik.
Sunday Dubrovnik - departure
Transfer to Dubrovnik airport, or to the hotel of your choice.
