2 - 6 guests This villa overlooks the stunning Bay of Palombaggia and Tamaricciu, one of the prettiest coves, is within a short walk. There is a family restaurant Costa Marine within 2 minutes walk, whilst a little further afield there is a variety of restaurants and bars along Palombaggia beach. Rooms and views The entrance leads into a small hallway from where there are doors to the open-plan lounge/dining area and down some steps to a corridor leading to the bedrooms. The lounge/dining area has comfortable seating, TV, stereo, DVD and large French windows offering panoramic views over Palombaggia Bay. Access to the covered terrace and pool is through the French windows with the outside dining area and barbecue to the side of the villa. The upper level has two entrances each with an adjoining terrace. The front terrace looks out to the Gulf of Porto Vecchio and the mountains beyond. The rear terrace has a built in barbecue. The entrance from the front terrace leads into the kitchen which has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven and rings and a microwave. 2 - 10 guests This spacious, comfortable villa is a remarkable retreat in an exclusive area of the west coast. The views from the upper terrace, which take in the Bay of Portigliolo and stretch round the Golf to Ajaccio, are outstanding. A sandy bay is within 1.5km whilst a little further afield is the turquoise bay of Place d’Argent, which offers sunbeds and one or two paillote beach restaurants and some seasonal non-motorised watersports. There is an excellent selection of restaurants along the coastline from Portigliolo to Porticcio; try La Bergerie and Le Belvedere, both a short drive from the villa. The nearby forest of Coti-Chiavari is a popular area for walking and horseriding. Porticcio is within 25 minutes drive and the island capital, Ajaccio, within 35 minutes. The construction of the villa has been a labour of love for the owners who took years to achieve their goal. Each stone that makes up the villa walls has been chosen from the hills around the villa, and the pool area has been carefully built to enhance the beauty of the surrounding nature. The wooden terrace at the front of the villa is an ideal spot to soak up the sun and the view. A gate leads from the parking area down some steps to the villa. Despite the privacy of the villa it is well-located for evenings out in Porto Vecchio (6km), and for the beaches of Santa Giulia and Palombaggia. Rooms & views You enter directly into the air-conditioned open-plan lounge, which has a sofa, chairs, satellite TV, DVD, and French windows to the pool and terrace. From the living area and the bedrooms, French windows give access to the spacious front terrace with all-encompassing vistas. To ensure that nothing could compromise their Corsican haven, the owners bought an acre of land so there is a feeling of uninterrupted space. If you manage to tear yourself away, the beaches of Cala Rossa and Saint Cyprien are within a short drive. Porto Vecchio is within 4km. Rooms & views The front door opens into the spacious air-conditioned lounge with the kitchen at one end. It has two leather sofas, a coffee table and beside the feature fireplace are the TV, DVD and stereo.
