Idyllically located on the water’s edge in lush, sub-tropical gardens, this charming villa was first built by a distinguished English family in 1830 as their private residence. Transformed into a hotel in 1950, it retains a distinctive and almost personal character of its own with many pieces of original fine art and antique furniture which enrich its classical ambience.
The ‘Restaurant Oliviero’ is romantically positioned under tall, illuminated palm trees with an open air terrace and bar which overlooks the inviting sea and the hotel’s private beach. A pianist plays most evenings here or in the lounge bar. The excellent cable car service linking the bay of Taormina Mare to the centre of the old town is just a short stroll away.ROOMS AND VIEWS
The 82 completely refurbished bedrooms and junior suites are air-conditioned with bath and shower, w.c., satellite TV, telephone, safe, mini-bar and small balcony or terrace. Rooms with sea view and junior suites with side or full sea view are available at a supplement.
Interconnecting rooms may be available on request. The trains which run along the coast may be heard in some rooms. ROMANTIC OPTIONS
