Dramatically poised on a hillside in the Sardinian woodland and with stunning views of the mountains and out to the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Cugnana, the Rocce Sarde’s location is truly spectacular.
From a distance the hotel resembles a remote monastery, surrounded by surreal rock formations, and yet it is only a few minutes away from the lavish and exclusive Costa Smeralda.
A complimentary minibus serves the beach at Portisco from where the hotel’s motor boat takes guests to some of the beautiful beaches and islands of the Costa Smeralda. Fine dining is an art at Rocce Sarde where chefs have created menus that have set standards throughout Sardinia. Casual lunches are served either by the pool or on the restaurant terrace with its spectacular views over the sea. Before dinner guests are encouraged to mingle on the lawn with an aperitif as the sun sets in all its glory. Dinner is by candlelight on the terrace or “Sardinian style” in a romantic barn covered with scented junipers. The emphasis is on fresh local produce, delicious cuisine and stylish presentation.
ROOMS AND VIEWS
The 70 rooms and 10 suites have recently been refurbished and are in authentic Sardinian style and are bright and spacious. Each has a shower and w.c., a mini-bar, telephone, satellite TV, and most a terrace overlooking the gardens or the sea. ROMANTIC OPTIONS
Honeymooners are entitled to a bottle of sparkling wine in the room on arrival and a reduction of £70 per couple for holidays terminating on or before 02 August or commencing on or after 23 August.
SINGLE PARENT OPTIONS
One adult sharing with one child under 16 is entitled to a reduction of £70 per room.
