The excursions described below are a guide only and prices may differ in resort. Meals and entrance fees are not included in the price unless specifically stated. The operation of excursions may depend on weather and road/sea conditions and the number of clients wishing to participate.
Prices indicated are in UK£ but bookings should be made locally through our representatives and should normally be payable in local currency.
Monday Half Day Castelsardo @ £ 12.50 per person
Depart early afternoon and drive along the north coast of Sardinia to the charming town of Castelsardo built on a promontory overlooking the sea. The visit includes Doria Castle and the old town famous for its traditional handicraft. Arrival back in your hotel during the early evening.
Tuesday Full Day Costa Smeralda @ £19.50 per person
Depart after breakfast and drive across northern Sardinia to the " Emerald Coast" where the first stop is fashionable Porto Cervo which is popular with millionaires and celebrities. Here are buzzing squares, designer shops and wall to wall yachts mingling with luxury villas. Continue to Baia Sardinia and in the afternoon visit other fashionable resorts including chic Cala Volpe and San Pantaleo, the home of artists and writers. Arrive back at your hotel during the early evening.
Wednesday Half Day Stintino @ £12.50 per person
Afternoon departure through wine growing countryside to Stintino, a pretty coastal resort with some nice beaches.
Thursday Full Day boat excursion @ £25 per person
Depart from the Marina at approximately 10.00 for a full day tour around the coast including spectacular Capo Caccia and time for snorkelling. A pasta lunch is included. Return to the Marina at approximately 17.00. This is our most popular excursion.
Thursday Full Day Bosa and " Shepherds' lunch" @ £31 per person
Depart after breakfast for a spectacular drive south along the coast to the ancient town of Bosa. From Bosa drive inland through the countryside to enjoy a typical Sardinian lunch in the woods accompanied by shepherds. The drive back to Alghero is through the mountains. Lunch is included in the price.
Friday Full Day Rail Excursion by "Il Trenino Verde" @ £36.50 per person
Transfer by coach to Nulvi where you board this charming little train comprising two vintage carriages. The train traverses some of Sardinia's most spectacular mountain scenery culminating in a steep climb to the station at Tempio Pausiana. A few hours are spent at Tempio which has an old town, shops and restaurants. In the early afternoon you are taken back to Alghero by coach arriving around 19.00 |
