The excursions described below are a guide only and prices may differ in resort. Meals and entrance fees are not included in the price unless specifically stated. The operation of excursions may depend on weather and road/sea conditions and the number of clients wishing to participate.
Prices indicated are in UK£ but bookings should be made locally through our representatives and should normally be payable in local currency.

Monday Half Day Cannigione Market

This is a complimentary excursion provided by our staff on the Costa Smeralda.
At 09.00 you meet up with our representative in Cannigione and proceed to the market.
For approximately 4 hours you will visit the Monday market stalls with our representative who will explain the origins of local produce, arts and handicraft and local history. There will also be the opportunity to learn and practice some basic Italian 


Tuesday Half Day Secrets of the Costa Smeralda @ £ 24.50 per person

Depart by minibus from Cannigione at 09.00 and proceed to the artists' village of San Pantaleo which slumbers at the foot of the mountains. There is a small market in the village square on Tuesday mornings and the tour includes a visit to the charismatic blacksmith. Return to the coast for a visit to the amazing Hotel Cala di Volpe to see "how the other half lives"! before proceeding to the glamorous resort of Porto Cervo. Time to explore the designer shops and marvel at the opulence of the yachts in the Marina. Call in at the resort of Baia Sardinia before returning to Cannigione before lunch.


Wednesday Full Day In the footsteps of Nelson and Garibaldi @ £34.50 per person

Depart by minibus from Cannigione at 08.45 for the enchanting islands of Maddelena and Caprera. The panoramic drive along the coast to the small town of Palau illustrates Nelson's connection with the area. A short ferry trip brings you to the port and old town of Maddelena where there is a market. Continue to the island of Caprera where you visit the simple house of Garibaldi before a tour of the island of Maddelena. There is a stop for lunch (not included in the price). 


Thursday Full Day Mystery of the Ancients @ £34.50 per person

Depart by minibus from Cannigione to Tempio at 08.45. This is an opportunity to explore the scenic interior and learn something of the ancient history of the island.
The journey to Tempio cuts through the mountains following fertile valleys. The small town stands in the shadow of Mount Limbara and is blessed with streams of spring water and streets of granite. The old train station dates back to 1880 and still houses the original engine workshops. You will also visit a Nuraghe giant's tomb, some 200 years old olive trees and a cork factory. 

Friday Full Day to Corsica @ £45 per person

The opportunity to visit Sardinia's very different neighbour

Depart Cannigione at 08.45 and drive along the northern coast to the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura where you board the regular ferry for the one and a half hour voyage to Bonifacio, the southernmost town and port in Corsica. Bonifacio is precariously perched high on limestone cliffs and seems almost to be tumbling into the sea below! The hidden entrance to the harbour was for centuries an ideal pirates' lair. You spend several hours on Corsica before returning by ferry at approximately 17.00

Daily Full Day " Spaghetti " Boat Trip @ £21 per adult (£14 per child under 10)

Set sail from Cannigione at 09.00 for the islands of the Archipelago of Maddelena.
Stop for a brief visit to the town of Maddelena before continuing to two of the uninhabited islands, Spargi and Santa Maria where there is time for a swim. A simple pasta lunch is included and served on board. There is a bar where you can purchase drinks. Return to Cannigione late afternoon.

Daily Full Day Oldtimer Cruise @ £66 per adult (£33 per child aged 4-10) 

The " Valentina " is a period motor sailor whose skipper, Enrico, is both a seasoned sailor and an entertainer. The cruise visits other islands and coastal beauty spots according to the weather and current. There are a maximum of 12 participants plus crew. Lunch and time for swimming are included.
